EV Charge Points

Gecko Solar is an OZEV approved installer of electric vehicle supply equipment under the EVHS (Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme) and the WCS (Workplace Charging Scheme). This means the client can claim the full government grant for an electric vehicle charge point, which is currently set at 75% of the total cost up to a maximum of £350.00 if they meet the currrent OZEV grant criteria.

Our engineers are trained installers of electric vehicle supply equipment having been awarded the City & Guilds 2919-01  (level 3 award in domestic, commercial and industrial Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation).

As the client the only requirement from you is that you complete and sign a few forms related to proof of ownership/lease of the vehicle. The client receives the reduction in cost immediately on invoice and Gecko Solar is responsible for claiming the grant once installation is complete.

We are approved installers & strong advocates of the Myenergi Zappi V2 range of charge points which work seamlessly with Solar PV installations prioritising the use of self generated carbon free electricity over the grid when in eco mode.
